Social Events

Social Sesssions

Social tennis sessions are a good time to come down and meet other members.

These involve doubles play with players mixing around between games.

In the peak summer months our resident coaches are on hand to help mix up players and give tips if you want them.

On Wednesdays throughout the year we aim to put on suppers or barbeques too, but are dependent upon our members volunteering to cook!

Wednesdays
7 - 10 pm.

Saturdays
2 - 6 pm.

Sundays
2 - 6 pm.

CLUB HOUSE ADJUSTED IMAGE_low res

We have an active social life and aim to put on a variety of events and evenings to suit our membership. Over the past year we have run bridge evenings, beer nights, quiz nights and have a variety of events planned for this, our Centenary, year such as a dinner dance at Dulwich & Sydenham Golf Club in September!

After social tennis on Wednesday evenings we aim to have 2 course suppers or barbeques provided at a very reasonable cost of £4 - £6 (it depends a lot upon the cost of the ingredients) - but of course we rely upon our members volunteering to "do their bit" in the kitchen to provide this fare, not to mention the stalwart members who man the bar on this and other evenings! Any profit from the suppers goes towards buying new kitchen equipment to makes the cooks' lives somewhat easier (whisks, food processors, new ketttles etc!).

The clubhouse has a darts board and a pool table - and our brand new indoor/outdoor table tennis set which is proving to be a huge hit with everyone!

Wi-fi internet access is available in the clubhouse for members to use and the kitchen is available for people to make cups of tea, coffee or snacks (an 'honesty' box will soon be available for those helping themselves to club tea bags & coffee etc to contribute to). All funds received will go towards the purchase of more provisions........
